The Save is a river in southwestern France that runs in the Occitania region . It rises in the municipality of Lannemezan , on the Lannemezan plateau of the same name , generally drains in a northeasterly direction and flows into the Garonne as a left tributary after 144 kilometers at Grenade . On its way, the Save crosses the Hautes-Pyrénées , Haute-Garonne and Gers departments and touches the Tarn-et-Garonne department just before the mouth for a length of a few meters .
