Geographical location and traffic
The beautiful view is in the Vorderen Odenwald below a mountain spur that protrudes from the Raupenstein ( 545.3 m ), a southern secondary peak of the Neunkircher Höhe ( 605 m ), to the southwest towards the valley of the Kolmbach . The Kolmbach is the first of a series of brooks that flow south to the Weschnitzsenke and whose headwaters must cross the B 47 on its way from the Lautertal to the east with many winding roads before it reaches the exit to the Gersprenzsenke at the Gumpener Kreuz . While the ascent from Gadernheim ( 365 m ), the last place in the Lautertal, via Kolmbach to the Schöne Aussicht is only three kilometers, from here via Litzelröder and the core town of Lindenfels to the Gumpener Kreuz ( 273 m ) it is six kilometers.
The Schöne Aussicht is named after one of the two restaurants built here. The other is called Zur Linde .
