The Schierstedter Busch is a nature reserve in the town of Aschersleben in the Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0072 is 23.36  hectares . It is part of the FFH area "Wipper below Wippra". The area has been under protection since 1967 (date of regulation: September 11, 1967). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Salzlandkreis.

The nature reserve is located directly southeast of Aschersleben in the lowlands of Wipper and Eine . It places a near-natural forest area at the confluence of the two rivers under protection. The area is of lowland forest residues with ash and elm and willow thickets of willow , Crack Willow and wicker coined. This includes reedbeds , vineyards and grasslands interspersed. In depressions , for example, Schlankseggenriede , reed beds with moist herbaceous vegetation and broken forest can be found. Meadow foxtail , forest angelica and cabbage thistle settle on higher grassland areas .

The Schierstedter bush is of great importance for numerous birds . In the nature reserve breed and. a. Marsh harrier , red and black kite , little grebe , water rail , whinchat , field owl , thrush , pond , swamp and reed warbler . It is also used as a transit area for white-tailed eagles , kingfisher , hoopoe , ring owl , puffy tit , bluethroat and owl .

The nature reserve is largely surrounded by agricultural land . In the west it borders on the Halle – Vienenburg railway line .
