Teufelsgrund and Saale slopes is a nature reserve in Könnern in the Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0085 is 13.79  hectares in size. It is part of the FFH area "Saale breakthrough near Rothenburg". In the south it borders on the nature reserve " Saale breakthrough in Rothenburg ", otherwise the closing conservation area "Saale" to. The area has been under protection since 1967 (date of regulation: September 11, 1967). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Salzlandkreis.

The nature reserve is located between Könnern and Rothenburg in the Lower Saale Valley Nature Park . It protects a steep slope exposed to the west, over 50 meters high, as well as an adjacent, steep-walled erosion valley with rock corridors, dry grass and heat-loving bushes on the right bank in the breakthrough valley of the Saale . Thyme-blue fescue lawns settle on shallow, weathered soils, on deeper slopes cilantro grass fields. The upper slopes and ledges are occupied by fescue-feather grass societies. Plants of the dry grass are z. B. Stemless tragacanth , pulsatilla vulgaris , Schmalblütige Grape and horses ass . In gullies settle cotoneaster . Privet and sloe bushes can be found on the edge of the plateau . In the bottom of the devil reason falter noble hardwood rich wooded areas.

In the nature reserve are numerous birds , including green woodpecker , wryneck , red-backed shrike , Yellow Warbler , barred warbler , nightingale and oriole home. The occurrence of various snails are remarkable , including March snail , cylinder nappy snail , small smooth snail and blind snail .
