Schloßberg is a group in Oberpinzgau , the rear Salzach Valley in the State of Salzburg , and is located in the village of Vorderkrimml , municipality of Wald im Pinzgau in the Zell am See / Pinzgau district .

The site is known to geologists as the site of the Vorderkrimmler fluorspar .

The Schloßberg , west of the village , also belongs to the village. It lies at around 950  m above sea level. A. below the Nösslachwand (also Nößlingerwand 1519  m above sea level ). ! 547.2400005512.1755565

The Falkenstein tavern ( 1961  m above sea level ) on the Krimml station - Nößlachwand - Hochkrimml or Gerlos hiking trail also belongs to the Schloßberg .

history

The name is derived from an old pass festival, perhaps the lost Burgeck of the Counts of Falkenstein zu Kaprun.

Tourism and sightseeing

The fluorite gallery and lime kiln , a special occurrence of fluorite and a historic kiln are worth seeing

The Arnoweg runs through this place after it has led up from Krimml via Falkenstein. It then crosses the Salzach via Orgler and continues to Hinterwaldberg .
