Scream - because I will kill you! is a German slasher film from 1999 that was produced by RTL for television. The film is also known under the titles Show No Fear and School's Out . In 2001 the sequel was released, Das Mädcheninternat - Nobody will hear your screams .

On the evening of the graduation party, the student Jessica is on her way to school in her father's taxi. While driving through a forest, she meets an escaped serial killer. A little later the taxi drives up to the school, but Jessica remains missing.
While the party is already in full swing, the students Nina, Anne and Philip, together with the siblings Tom and Eva, prepare the high school prank. However, a murderer disguised as a harlequin roams the dark corridors and tries to murder the five students one by one. Nina and Philip are able to escape him at first, but on the following day, while trying to secure an important lead of the murderer, they are again in mortal danger.

The film was made with a budget of an estimated $ 1.3 million, which at the time was equivalent to around DM 2.3 million (€ 1.2 million), and was first broadcast in Germany by RTL on November 10, 1999.
The locations of the outside scenes were in Cologne and the surrounding area. The Schloss Schaumburg near Diez / Limburg served as the backdrop for the fictional high school .
The uncut version was shown at the 1999 Fantasy Film Festival .
When the sequel came out, the film was released as School's Out 1 on DVD. The sequel was also released on DVD under the title School's Out 2 - The Island of Fear . A 2-DVD edition has also been released that contains both parts. There's scream on this DVD - because I'm going to kill you! can be seen in the uncut version, about two minutes were missing from the broadcast on RTL. The film is also known under the title Don't be afraid .
