The Schwarzbach nature reserve is located in the districts of Kaiserslautern and Kusel in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 31.91 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of April 13, 1987 , extends along the Schwarzbach directly on the A 6 that passes on the northern edge and reaches the state border with Saarland in the west . The state road L 119 runs not far to the southeast .

The area includes reed reeds , Seggenrieder , ditches and shore zones specimen trees, ponds, tanks trenches , alder forests and pastures.
