Sebastian Gishamer

Sebastian Gishamer (born October 13, 1988 ) is an Austrian football referee . He is a member of the referees' panel of the Salzburg Football Association .

Career

As an arbitrator

Gishamer, who is a member of the Salzburg regional association, made it to the Regionalliga West , the third highest level in Austria , at the age of 20 . He conducted his first game on September 26, 2008 when TSV St. Johann played against FC Anif (4-0). Not even a year later, on August 14, 2009, he was allowed to lead his first game in the ÖFB Cup with the match between SC Schwaz and WSG Wattens (0: 3) .

On April 8, 2013 Gishamer was only 24 years old to make his debut as a referee in the first division . He led the game between Kapfenberger SV and SCR Altach (2-2), in which he dealt seven yellow cards, all of them in the second half of the game. The game was a qualifier for inclusion in the squad of the Bundesliga referees. Gishamer hopes to finally achieve this qualification in the summer.

As an assistant referee

Simultaneously with the jump into the regional league Gishamer was added to the ranks of the assistant referees of the First League, where he made his debut on August 1, 2008 in the game DSV Leoben against SKN St. Pölten (2: 1) at the side of Bernhard Brugger . On July 18, 2009 he was allowed to appear for the first time in the Austrian Bundesliga , again at the side of Bernhard Brugger, in the game LASK Linz against SV Mattersburg (4-0) as assistant referee.

Gishamer was able to sniff international air for the first time on October 24, 2010, when he was in action as Bernhard Brugger's assistant in the Swiss Super League at the game between FC St. Gallen and FC Basel (1: 3). A first highlight in Gishamer's career was his first international appearance in the UEFA Europa League . On August 9, 2012 he was allowed to assist Oliver Drachta in the third qualifying round in the game ND Mura 05 against Arsenal Kiev (0: 2).
