Sebastian Wolsch (born April 14, 1984 in Bad Muskau ) is a German ice hockey player who plays as a defender in the Oberliga Süd for EV Regensburg .

Career

Sebastian Wolsch comes from the offspring of the Lausitzer Füchse , with whom he learned to play ice hockey and went through the youth teams. Before moving to EV Weiden , he played for the Jungfüchse in the DNL (2001/02; 28 goals and 19 assists in 36 games) and in the Regionalliga (2002/03).

In his first year in Weiden, the then 19-year-old played in the junior Bundesliga (24 goals in 27 games) and made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the following season he was part of the squad of the professional team and was able to achieve his first Bundesliga goal, but still completed 13 games in the junior team. The EV Weiden rose at the end of the season in the league . Therefore Wolsch played for a year in the league, mostly in the third row with Marcel Waldowsky and Lukas Hausmanninger . Due to Michael Fendt's injury , Sebastian Wolsch played in the front row with Tom Herman and Antti Karhula , from which he benefited greatly and was able to improve his player statistics significantly. In 55 games in the preliminary round, championship round and play-offs , he scored 19 goals and 22 assists - he himself describes reaching the top division play-offs as his greatest success so far.

In order to be able to set up a competitive fourth row for the 2006/07 season , the manager of the Eislöwen, Jan Tabor , signed the 22-year-old in the summer of 2006 due to his tall, powerful stature, his experience in the second division and his strong season in the major league. Sebastian Wolsch formed together with Kilian Glück and Michael Schmerda the fourth attack block of the Ice Lions, which regularly got Ice Age. Due to the descent of the ice lions, his contract in Dresden was not extended and Wolsch moved back to Weiden.

From the 2008/09 season Wolsch played as a striker at EV Landsberg 2000 . In the 2009/10 season he received a two-year contract and was not only active as a player, but also worked as an assistant coach for the boys' team and coordinated the coaches in the youth departments.

After two years in Landsberg, Wolsch moved to EV Füssen in the summer of 2010 . He will play there in the 2010/11 season for the league team, mainly on the defensive. In addition, the B-license holder will work as a trainer in the young leopard division.

In mid-April 2011, Wolsch signed a new two-year contract with EV Füssen and will therefore continue to act as a support for the EVF back team. Wolsch had several offers, also from the 2nd Bundesliga (Lausitzer Füchse), but in the end he decided again for the EV Füssen, where he not only acted as an asset for the league team, but also the new coaching team Markus Gmeiner and Peter Franke support as assistant coach of the DNL team Young Leopards.

After his contract expired, Wolsch moved to EHC Bayreuth , for which he laced his skates in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. After the start of the 2015/16 season, however, there were disagreements between the club and the players, which is why Wolsch changed the Blue Devils Weiden during the season.

Sebastian Wolsch has been playing for EV Regensburg in the Oberliga Süd since the 2016/17 season .
