from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Setouchmax is a size specification for ships .

It describes the maximum possible ship size with which all relevant ports of the Japanese Seto Inland Sea with its large number of ore and coal loading points can be reached. Ships of this type are up to just under 300 m long and with a maximum draft of 16.1 m have a carrying capacity of around 205,000 tons. They therefore belong to the main " Capesize " category of bulk carriers .
