Siegfried Dornbusch
Siegfried Dornbusch (born February 5, 1925 in Berlin ; † January 12, 2004 there ) was a German actor and cabaret artist .
Life
Dornbusch completed his acting training with Franz Fiedler in Berlin and made his debut in Berlin-Spandau as a theater actor. Numerous engagements followed , including a. in Mainz and Düsseldorf.
In addition, Dornbusch also worked as a cabaret artist. In the early 1960s he was involved in several programs for the literary-political cabaret Die Bedienten (alongside Beate Hasenau and Andreas Mannkopff ) in Berlin. In 1965 he was part of the Berliner Ensemble der Amnestierten , a new establishment of the political-literary travel cabaret of the same name from Kiel. Although the founder Joachim Hackethal also worked alongside experienced cabaret artist Siegrid Hackenberg , the cabaret had to close after a short time due to clear criticism of the Vietnam War .
From 1948 on Dornbusch also took on roles in film productions. He starred with John Doe Gert Fröbe in the post-war comedy Berlin ballad , in Wolfgang embezzlement DEFA -Jugendfilm ... and if it's only one would '... in Franz Antel crime breakfast with death , in Peter Beauvais ' comedy Love, and all lies , in War film Rommel calls Cairo , in the Brecht film version Fear and Misery of the Third Reich , next to Horst Buchholz in the death ship (after B. Traven ) and in one, two, three , Billy Wilder's satire on the Cold War . Dornbusch had one of his last television appearances in 1984 in the ARD pre-evening series Turf .
In addition, Siegfried Dornbusch was extensively active in dubbing from 1961 and lent his voice a. a. William Daniels ( ... chasing Dr. Sheefer! ), Richard Dysart ( The Day of the Locust ), Kenneth Mars ( Two Bandits ), Jay Robinson ( Shampoo ) and the cartoon dog Rantanplan in Lucky Luke - his greatest trick .
Siegfried Dornbusch has been working as a pharmaceutical representative since the early 1980s . He died on January 12, 2004 in his hometown Berlin - Spandau.
