Sigga
Sigga ; also: Sigga Beinteins , actually: Sigríður Beinteinsdóttir (born July 24, 1962 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic pop and rock singer . As early as 1984 she gained popularity in her home country as the front woman of the short-lived rock band Kikk , which existed from 1982 to 1985. Sigga appeared at the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the Schlager duo Stjórnin and reached 4th place. At the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest , she was seen again, then as part of the pop band Heart 2 Heart , which came in 7th.
As the winner of the preliminary round, she represented Iceland at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin as the solo singer "Sigga". With the pop song Nætur ( Eng .: nights ) she reached number 12.
