Pollapönk [ ˈpʰɔlːaˌpʰœyŋ̥kʰ ] ( Isl . : "Little-Boy-Punk" ) is a four-piece Icelandic band that was founded in 2006.
Career
Pollapönk represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen , Denmark , after they won the national final against five competitors with the song Enga fordóma (no prejudice). In the final, they were able to reach 15th place with the English version of the title. The songs Leyniskápurinn, Þór og Jón eru hjón and 113 vælubíllinn had around 44,000 clicks on the video platform YouTube by the end of January 2014.
Óttarr Proppé , who sings in live performances with the band Backing Vocals , was a member of the Bright Future party in Iceland's parliament from 2013 to 2017 and Icelandic Minister of Health in 2017.
