Halla Margrét Árnadóttir

Halla Margrét Árnadóttir (born April 23, 1964 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic singer with a soprano voice .

As the winner of the Icelandic preliminary round, she was allowed to represent her country at the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1987 in Brussels . With the ballad Hægt og hljótt (“Slowly and quietly”) she came in 16th.

After studying classical singing in Italy, she became a member of the operetta company Compagnia di Corrado Abbadi . Soon afterwards she could be seen in operas and operettas such as La Bohème , Tosca , Turandot , Le Villi or Die Fledermaus, mainly in Italy .
