María Ólafsdóttir
María Ólafsdóttir , also known under the name María Ólafs (born March 21, 1993 in Blönduós ) is an Icelandic singer and actress . She represented Iceland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest .

María Ólafsdóttir was selected from over 200 submissions together with eleven others from the Icelandic television RÚV for the preliminary decision there for Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2015 . She reached the final show via the semi-finals, where she finally won.
The title Unbroken comes from the Icelandic production team StopWaitGo, consisting of Ásgeir Orri Ásgeirsson, Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson and Sæþór Kristjánsson.
During the competition she was accompanied on stage by Hera Björk , the Icelandic participant from 2010 , as a background singer.
You could not qualify for the final in the second semifinals. She appeared at the Icelandic preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
Others
María Ólafsdóttir released two solo singles in 2016 called Hold My Hand and Baby Take The Wheel .
In 2018 she released a cover version of Germante's song Turn It Up in Icelandic under the name Hækka í botn .
