Athletic career
Simona Frapporti comes from a cycling family: her older brother Marco and younger brother Mattia are also active as racing cyclists. On the track, she is successful in both short-term and endurance disciplines and has won national titles. My biggest success so far (as of 2016) was the bronze medal in the team time trial at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in Spain Ponferrada .
In 2016 Frapporti was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished sixth in the team pursuit together with Beatrice Bartelloni , Francesca Pattaro , Tatiana Guderzo and Silvia Valsecchi . According to a local website, she was the first female athlete from Val Sabbia to take part in the Olympic Games.
