Silvia Valsecchi (born July 19, 1982 in Lecco ) is an Italian racing cyclist who starts on track and road .
Athletic career
Silvia Valsecchi has been an international cyclist since 2003. In 2006 she became the Italian time trial champion for the first time , a success she was able to repeat in 2015. She also became national champion in various disciplines on the track.
In 2014, the BePink team and Valsecchi took third place in the team time trial of the road world championships .
In 2016 Valsecchi was nominated for the start in the team pursuit at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . Together with Beatrice Bartelloni , Simona Frapporti , Tatiana Guderzo and Francesca Pattaro , she finished sixth. Later that year, the Italian team with Valsecchi, Elisa Balsamo , Pattaro, Guderzo and Frapporti became European champions in the team pursuit .
At the UCI Track World Championships 2018 in Apeldoorn , the Italian women's foursome won the bronze medal with Valsecchi, Letizia Paternoster, Tatiana Guderzo and Elisa Balsamo.
