Vilija Sereikaitė (born February 12, 1987 in Panevėžys , Lithuanian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Lithuanian cyclist specializing in endurance disciplines in track cycling .
In 2008 Vilija Sereikaitė was U23 European champion in the single pursuit . At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , she was sixth in the same discipline.
In 2009 , 2010 and 2011 , Vilija Sereikaitė took third place at world championships in pursuit. In 2012 she was together with Vaida Pikauskaitė and Aušrinė Trebaitė European champion in the team pursuit . In the same year she became national champion in the individual time trial on the road .
In 2015, Sereikaitė, who had completed a degree in pedagogy the year before, ended her active cycling career.
Honors
In 2010, Vilija Sereikaitė was honored with the Order for Services to Lithuania , and in 2014 she was elected Sportswoman of the Year by Panevėžys.
