The singles Rock DJ, Kids and Eternity / Road to Mandalay could place themselves extremely well in the European single charts. The controversial music video for Rock DJ in particular caught the public eye, as Williams had his skin removed from his body using computer animation until he could only be seen as a skeleton. The joint single with Kylie Minogue was also a great success. With Eternity / Road to Mandalay , Williams made it to the top of the British charts again.

criticism
Williams received mostly positive reviews for his third album.
Rolling Stone magazine wrote in October 2000 that Williams and Chambers demonstrated their flair for melodies and their courage in stylistic issues on the album. Williams used pop history to transform himself from a boy band singer into a craftsman. In addition, the magazine named Williams as the top entertainer in England.
