A. is now only a stable and is located directly on the stream. The Hochleger is the Sonntag-Hochalm on the Steinkogel (Kitzbüheler Alpen) ( 2299 m above sea level ), west of 2006 m ⊙ .
The Alm has been owned by a family from Neukirchen for 300 years, and their home is the Krausenhof (youth hostel) in the Venice settlement . Around 40–50 head of cattle (alpine contingent 35,000 kg) are raised. The alpine pastures cover about 200 hectares of alpine pastures on about 1 km², including hunting on their own .

Development
Until about 1990 you could only drive as far as the valley basin and then had to walk up to the alpine pastures. Up until this point in time, a material lift was still in operation from the Untere Sonntagsalm to the Grundalm. Like the stables at the Alm, this was torn away by an avalanche shortly before. First of all, the forest path was built on the south-western slope side with a connection to the Sonntagsalm. About two years later, direct access was made possible.
Expansion of the alpine pastures
With the expansion of the forest roads, the modernization of the Sonntagalm had become much easier. At the same time, a new house with a restaurant and overnight accommodation was built above the old Sonntagalm. The old Sonntagshütte is available as a self-catering hut in summer and winter. The new hut is open during the alpine summer.
Paths and tours
Ascent is easy from Neukirchen or Wald through the Trattenbachtal. The path is like a themed path with stations of Goethe's color theory for children.
The alp can be used as a starting point for tours to the neighboring alpine pastures in neighboring Tyrol and to the alpine pastures on the Pinzgau side.
Tours
The hut can be the starting point for the following tours:
- Steinkogel ( 2299 m )
- Kröndlhorn ( 2444 m )
- Wildkogel ( 2224 m )
- Gamskogel ( 2206 m )
- Great Rettenstein ( 2366 m )
In particular, you can - climb through the Filzbachtal, cross the Kitzbühel main ridge (Filzscharte, 1686 m above sea level ) and get through the Windau Achental to Westendorf .
