Ascham is a small town in Oberpinzgau in the state of Salzburg , and belongs to the municipality of Neukirchen am Großvenediger in the Zell am See district .

geography

Ascham is located about 1 kilometer southeast of Neukirchen , on the right - southern, shadowy - bank of the Salzach at around 850  m above sea level. A. The place is located at the mouth of the Aschbach , which comes from the Wildalm , from the northern end of the mountain range that separates Untersulzbachtal and Habachtal ( Großvenediger group of the Venediger group ).
