Spirit of Burgas

Spirit of Burgas is an annual summer music festival in the city of Burgas , which is located on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria . The music festival is designed for international and Bulgarian music and is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria.
The first edition of the festival took place from August 15th to 17th, 2008 with the support of MTV Europe . Artists such as The Sisters of Mercy , Hot Club de Paris (August 15), Asian Dub Foundation , Pharoahe Monch and Upsurt (August 16), Cradle of Filth , Kosheen and Bonobo performed on the big stage. In addition to the big stage, there was also more for dance, rock and Latin music as well as a DJ stage, where other well-known and emerging artists performed equally. The most famous artists who performed outside the big stage included Chris Liebing , Andy Cato from Groove Armada , King Roc from Ministry of Sound , Pendulum , Wickeda and Deep Zone Project .
The second edition of the Spirit of Burgas took place from August 14th to 16th, 2009. During the three days, Faith No More , Fun Lovin 'Criminals , The Crystal Method , Clawfinger , Dreadzone , LTJ Bukem , DePhazz , Sub Focus , Alexander Kowalski , Speedy J, Mario Ranieri and the up-and-coming Australian alternative rock band performed on the main stage The Monicans on. As part of a project by the Dutch Ministry of Culture, more than 100 Dutch DJs performed on a single stage.
In 2009 a jazz and blues stage and a camping zone for 1000 visitor tents were set up for the first time .
The third edition took place from August 13th to 15th, 2010. During this time, The Prodigy , Gorillaz , Apollo 440 , Serj Tankian , HMSU DJS , Grandmaster Flash , Solardip , DJ Shadow , UNKLE and Andy C feat performed on the main stage. MC GQ on. The musician canceled Everlast's participation at the last moment due to illness.
In 2011 the fourth edition took place from August 12th to 14th with Moby , Skunk Anansie and Deftones among others .
In 2012 the organizers announced some of the participants for the Spirit of Burgas 2012. For example, KORN , Tinie Tempah , Busta Rhymes , Armin Van Buuren , Mark Knight , Chase & Status , Richie Hawtin and Dubfire will take part in the fifth edition from August 3rd to 5th .
The festival site is located in the southern part of the central city beach in Burgas and the sea garden near the port entrance. In addition to MTV Europe, Tuborg , A1 Bulgaria , Jack Daniel’s , Jacobs , DSK Bank and other partners and sponsors are involved in the implementation of Spirit of Burgas .
