description

The interior of the hall church has an ornamentally painted wooden beam ceiling , matching the single-storey galleries . The sacristy in the east is separated by a pulpit altar from 1721. Jesus Christ and the four evangelists are painted on the pulpit ; on the right and left are two carved figures from the 16th century depicting John and Mary . Three glass windows can be seen above the pulpit altar. Between the altar and the pulpit there is a winged altar from the former Augustinian monastery with a panel painting from 1495. In the center of the picture is Saint Wolfgang , in the wings it is Saints Peter and John the Baptist (left) and Saint Martin and Augustine (right) pictured. The back of the altar is only accessible from the sacristy, it shows Christ on the cross, Mary and John as well as the donor of the altar, left Katharina, right Margarethe. The origin of the work is unclear, it came to the hospital church in 1524. Next to the pulpit are carved statuettes of a former crucifixion group , on the north-east wall the corresponding crucifix , created at the end of the 15th / beginning of the 16th century. There are three wooden epitaphs from the 18th century in the choir and another epitaph in the nave. The gallery surrounds the room in a horseshoe shape. Its parapet is painted with sayings and ornaments . Two bronze bells hang in the roof turret. The organ with 6 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1896 by the organ builder Hugo Schramm from Bürgel. There are apartments in the western part of the building . Around the church are tombs from the 18th century.
