St. Margaretha (Büttstedt)
The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Margaretha is located at Schulstrasse 13 in Büttstedt , a municipality in the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld . It is consecrated to St. Margaret . It belongs to the parish of St. Georg and Juliana in Küllstedt in the dean's office of Dingelstädt of the diocese of Erfurt .

The hall church , covered with a gable roof , has a three-sided choir and was built in 1734 in the walled cemetery in place of a predecessor, as an inscription attests. From 1875 to 1880 it was extended to the west by a yoke and a square church tower was added . In the baroque part the stone was plastered , in the extension the stone is visible. The tower has an octagonal tower with a copper-covered hood sitting on it . The nave has a groin vault inside . Belts are stretched between the pillars on the walls . The colored interior from the early 20th century by Heinrich Schweppenstede (Wiedenbrück) has been completely preserved. The high altar has statuettes of saints under canopies , the side altar has figures of Our Lady and other saints. In the choir and nave there are colored windows that were created between 1904 and 1906 by Reuter and Reinhoff. The Stations of the Cross from terracotta incurred 1,903th The last renovation took place between 1987 and 1992. The organ with 20 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built by Speith-Orgelbau around 1930 .
