from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The national debt ratio of Sweden shows the relationship between the Swedish national debt on the one hand and the Swedish nominal gross domestic product on the other.

Development in recent years

Sweden's national debt ratio rose between 2008 and 2013 due to the financial crisis . While the national debt of 1.242.7 billion Swedish kroner at the end of 2008 corresponded to a national debt ratio of 38.8%, the national debt ratio at the end of 2013 reached a value of 40.5% with a debt level of 1.474.4 billion Swedish kroner.

Forecast development

The International Monetary Fund assumes that Sweden's national debt ratio will decrease to 30.4% by the end of 2019, with a debt level of then 1,420.0 billion Swedish kronor.
