National debt ratio in Denmark

The national debt ratio of Denmark shows the relationship between the Danish national debt on the one hand and the Danish nominal gross domestic product on the other.

Development in recent years

Denmark's national debt ratio increased between 2008 and 2013 due to the financial crisis . While the national debt of 585.1 billion Danish kroner at the end of 2008 corresponded to a national debt ratio of 33.4%, the national debt ratio reached 44.5% at the end of 2013, given a debt level of 826.9 billion Danish kroner.

Forecast development

The International Monetary Fund assumes that Denmark's national debt ratio will increase slightly to 45.6% by the end of 2019, with a debt level of DKK 1,038.8 billion.
