Steinbachsmühle is a district of the city of Ludwigsstadt in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria .

geography

The wasteland lies in the valley of the Steinbach , a right tributary of the Loquitz , directly on the Thuringian border. A farm road leads to a communal road that runs to Falkenstein (2.1 km west).

history

Steinbachsmühle belonged to the real community Steinbach an der Haide . Towards the end of the 18th century, it consisted of a mill that powered a grinding and cutting mechanism. The high court exercised the Bavarian office of Lauenstein . The Lauenstein caste office held the manorial estate .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Lauenstein . With the community edict, Steinbachsmühle was assigned to the Lauenstein tax district formed in 1808 and the Steinbach an der Haide rural community formed in 1818 . On January 1, 1978 Steinbachsmühle was incorporated into Ludwigsstadt as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
