Spitzberg is a district of the city of Ludwigsstadt in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria .

geography

The hamlet is located in a hollow between the Spitzberg ( 591  m above sea level , 0.3 km north) and the Black Mountain ( 625  m above sea level , 0.7 km south), both elevations of the Franconian Forest . Spitzberg is surrounded on all sides by forest. A communal road leads to the KC 26 district road near Thünahof (1.3 km to the southeast).

history

Spitzberg belonged to the real community Lauenstein . At the end of the 18th century, Spitzberg consisted of two properties (1 remote farm, 1 drip house ). The high court exercised the Bavarian office of Lauenstein . The Lauenstein caste office held the manorial estate .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Lauenstein . With the community edict, Spitzberg was assigned to the Lauenstein tax district formed in 1808 and the Lauenstein rural community formed in 1818 . On May 1, 1978, Spitzberg was incorporated into Ludwigsstadt as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
