Stephan Ebn
Stephan Ebn (born February 13, 1978 in Kelheim ) is a German drummer and music producer . He lives in Abensberg .
Life
The touring and studio drummer initially studied jazz drums from 1998 to 2003 at the Nuremberg-Augsburg University of Music . He finished his studies with two diplomas. Even before and during his music studies, Stephan Ebn worked on numerous projects in Europe / USA as a studio musician or live drummer. In the rock / pop area he worked with artists such as Gianna Nannini , Middle of the Road , Lynn Anderson , Donikkl , Jonny Hill , Kimberley Dahme, Frank Baum , Jon Walmsley, Hülya Kandemir , Johan Eliasson, Suzie Candell and others. In the jazz area he worked with Bill Molenhof , Claus Stötter , Jörg Widmoser , Wolfgang Lackerschmid and others. In addition, Ebn has worked as a musician / producer on numerous CD releases and participated in international music festivals with a wide variety of artists.
Stephan Ebn was married to the Bavarian dialect artist Maria Reiser. From this marriage there are two daughters.
Career
Stephan Ebn has been the drummer and programmer of the well-known Scottish band Middle of the Road since 2006 and is on tour with this formation all over Europe. In 2007 the collaboration with Gianna Nannini began, first in the studio and finally on stage. After the “Pia come la canto io tour”, over 60 concerts of the “GiannaBest tour” followed in 2008. At the “Amiche per l'Abruzzo concert” on June 21, 2009 in the San Siro stadium in Milan for the benefit of the victims of the earthquake in Abruzzo, he and Gianna Nannini were a. also with Laura Pausini on stage. Since 2008 he is u. a. with Andreas Wiersich's Midnight Story Orchestra and with the singer / songwriter Solly Aschkar. He also produced the album Miles for Aschkar.
As a studio musician and producer, Stephan Ebn u. a. worked in studios in Nashville, London, Glasgow and Milan. Since 2006 he can also be heard on many film music recordings by Helmut Zerlett and Christoph Zirngibl , such as B. on the soundtracks of the movies Neues vom Wixxer , Kein Bund fürs Leben , Jerry Cotton and the very successful German comedies Männerhort and The First Name .
In 2011 Stephan Ebn founded the indie label Magic Mango Music together with Christian Georg and Thomas Huffschmid . The debut album of the Ebn-produced band Ludwig Two and the soundtrack of the Bavarian cult film Trans Bavaria were released on this label .
Stephan Ebn has been producing children's songs for Rodscha from Cambodia and Tom Palme since 2012 . In November 2014 the collaboration began as a producer and musician with the vocal artist and overtone singer Anna-Maria Hefele .

Stephan Ebn founded the band Starbust in 2012 together with long-time colleagues and studio musicians Helmut Zerlett, Giacomo Castellano and Hans Maahn . This formation mainly acts as a professional backing band for international artists, but also as an independent instrumental band. Castellano, Maahn and Ebn played together in Gianna Nannini's band for several years. The successful collaboration was continued with this project.
Stephan Ebn Band
The Stephan Ebn Band is a modern jazz-rock & fusion band, which was founded in 2012 due to the production of Ebn's solo album. The original line-up consists of Ebn and Andreas Wiersich (guitar), Alex Bayer (bass) and Toni Hinterholzinger (piano / keyboards). At the same time, this formation is also the rhythm section of the well-known Midnight Story Orchestra.
