Steven Zellner (born March 14, 1991 in Wadern ) is a German soccer player who has been under contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken since January 2017 .

Career

Steven Zellner started at VfL Primstal, where he played until 2006. Then he moved to the youth department of 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

There he signed a professional contract on September 29, 2010. On February 11, 2012, he came through a substitution in the 82nd minute for Athanasios Petsos in the 0-2 away defeat against FC Bayern Munich for his first Bundesliga appearance.

Since he was no longer considered in the squad after several injuries, he moved to SV Sandhausen during the 2014/15 winter break . There he came to nine missions in the second half of the season before he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in May 2016 and was out for a long time. In October 2016 he came back for a brief assignment in the first team in the game against Arminia Bielefeld . Since he was not taken into consideration in Sandhausen, Zellner moved to the Regionalliga Südwest for 1. FC Saarbrücken in January 2017 . With the FCS he was regional league champion of the 2017/18 season , but failed in the promotion games to the 3rd division.
