José Pierre "Joe" Vunguidica (born January 3, 1990 in Luanda ) is an Angolan football player who also has German citizenship . He has been under contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken in the Regionalliga Südwest since 2018 .

life and career

José Pierre Vunguidica came to Germany with his parents as a refugee at the age of two, where the family settled in Neuwied . He started playing soccer in the VfL Oberbieber district club and moved to 1. FC Köln in 2005 at the age of 15 . The trained center forward won the FVM Cup twice with the U19s of 1. FC Köln , was champion of the West relay in the A-Junior Bundesliga in the 2007/2008 season and scored in the U-19 Bundesliga West between 2007 and 19 goals in 52 appearances in 2009. The Angolan made his debut in the league team of 1. FC Köln II on matchday 17 of the 2007/08 season in the 0-1 defeat at Wuppertaler SV II. Since 2009, Vunguidica has been part of the Cologne professional squad, but initially only continued to play for the 2. Team in the Regionalliga West deployed. On the 12th match day of the 2010/11 season he played his only Bundesliga game . He came on as a substitute for Fabrice Ehret in the 65th minute of the home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach .

In January 2011 Vunguidica was loaned to the third division Kickers Offenbach until the end of the 2010/11 season. In Offenbach he was used in almost all games in the second half of the season and scored two goals. On June 21, 2011 he was awarded again, this time to the third division team Preußen Münster , where he played until the end of the season.

After the loan period ended, Vunguidica moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden for the 2012/13 season . He signed a one-year contract until June 30, 2013, which he extended for another two years in April 2013.

For the 2015/16 season Vunguidica moved to SV Sandhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga .

For the 2018/19 season, Vunguidica moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken .

National team

On March 25, 2009 Vunguidica played in Olhão in the 0-1 defeat Angola against Cape Verde his first international match. With the Angolan national team, he qualified for the finals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations , but the team failed in the preliminary round.
