Stobno ( German Stöven ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . The village forms part of the Gmina Kołbaskowo (Kolbitzow municipality) in the Policki powiat (Pölitzer Kreis) .
Geographical location
Stobno is about 8 kilometers west of Stettin ( Szczecin ), about 17 kilometers southwest of Police ( Pölitz ) and 4 kilometers east of the German border.
history
The village was first mentioned as villa St Ebene in 1243 in a document from the Pomeranian Duke Barnim I , with which he confirmed donations to the Szczecin nunnery. There is also a document from 1251 with which Duke Barnim I awarded the village, now called Stopele , to the Szczecin nunnery.
At the beginning of the 1930s, the district of Stöven was 7.9 km² and housed 63 residential buildings. In addition to the village of Stöven, there were three residential spaces at the Stöven station (Bz. Stettin) , Gut Stöven and Prilipp .
After the end of the Second World War , the village became part of Poland as Stobno .

The village is on the Bützow – Stettin railway line . Here the now disused Randower Bahn branched off to the northwest. The station was reopened to passenger traffic at the end of 2014, but passenger operations were suspended on March 15, 2015 due to short travel times and low passenger numbers.
