Sudoeste / Octogonal , officially Portuguese Região Administrativa de Sudoeste / Octogonal ( RA XXII ), is an administrative region with 53,000 inhabitants around 5 km west of the city center of Brasília in the Brazilian federal district . The administrative region borders on Plano Piloto , SIA and Cruzeiro . The administrative region was spun off from the Cruzeiro administrative region in 2003. The administrative region is divided into the two settlements Sudoeste and Octogonal and borders on the Parque da Cidade Dona Sarah Kubitschek city ​​park .
