São Sebastião , officially Portuguese Região Administrativa de São Sebastião , is the administrative region RA XIV and with around 100,000 inhabitants, 22 km southeast of the center of Brazil in the Brazilian federal district. The administrative region borders on Cidade Ocidental ( Goiás ), Santa Maria , Lago Sul , Jardim Botânico , Paranoá and Cristalina (Goiás).
The irregular settlement of the region began as early as 1957. In 1991 the place had 17,390 inhabitants and in 1998 44,235 inhabitants. For 2013 a population of 97,977 people was given.
On June 25, 1993 the then Agrovila São Sebastião became an independent administrative region through the law "Lei 467/93".
