Sun Chunlan ( Chinese  孙春兰 ; * May 1950 in Raoyang , Hengshui , Hebei Province ) is a Chinese politician of the Communist Party of China (CCP) who is a member of the Political Bureau of the CCP Central Committee . In addition, she acts as the head of the Central Committee department for the united front.

Life

Sun Chunlan joined the CCP in 1973 and was elected on the XV. 1997 party congress elected as candidate of the Central Committee. She served from 1997 to 2005 as the deputy secretary of the CP provincial leadership of the Liaoning provincial leadership and was also the president of the party school of that province from 1997 to 2001 and subsequently mayor of Dalian between 2001 and 2005 . From 2005 to 2009 she was vice-chairwoman and first secretary of the All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), the umbrella organization of trade unions, and also its party secretary. In November 2009, she replaced Lu Zhangong as secretary of the Communist Party Provincial Board of Fujian Province and remained in that position until November 2012, after which You Quan succeeded her in December 2012. She was also the chair of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Province People's Congress between 2010 and 2012.

On the XVIII. At the 2012 Congress, Sun Chunlan was elected a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (Central Committee). In addition, she was on 21 November 2012 as the successor to Zhang Gaoli secretary of the Communist Party City Committee of the centrally-administered city of Tianjin and remained in this position until December 2014, after which the Mayor of Tianjin, Huang Xingguo , took over this function provisionally. In 2014, she took over the post of head of the Central Committee's Department for the United Front as the successor to Ling Jihua, who had been removed from office .
