Susanna Knechtl

Susanna Knechtl (* 1978 in Vienna , Austria ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Knechtl graduated from the drama school of Prof. Krauss in Vienna from 1996 to 1999 and completed her studies with a diploma examination. She played her first role in 1999 in the mountain drama about a brotherly quarrel, Love Moves Mountains , where she was cast alongside Jochen Horst , Harald Krassnitzer and Christine Mayn . This was followed by smaller roles in Kommissar Rex (2000), Munich 7 and SOKO Kitzbühel (2003), before she was cast in the role of Iris Baier in the family series Schlosshotel Orth from 2003 to 2006 .

In 2003 she embodied the writer Ingeborg Bachmann in the biographical film adaptation I don't know a better world . From 2005 to 2008 Knechtl then played the leading female role in the five-star hotel series , where she conquered the heart of the hotel heir Stefan Lindbergh, played by Ralf Bauer , as Amelie Amann . This was followed by other roles in various television series. She was also cast in Reinhard Schwabenitzky's film comedy Furcht und Zittern , which was released in 2010 in Austria. Also in 2010 Knechtl appeared in the 3raum Anatomietheater in Vienna under the direction of Hubert Kramar in Oscar Wilde's play Bunbury .

In 2011 Knechtl played the role of Kate in the film adaptation Wachgeküsst based on Utta Danella 's novel of the same name. In Schafkopf - A bissel was geht immer , she was on the cast list in 2012 as a hard-working mother in the episode A Very Poor Dog .
