Svea Köhrbrück (born October 16, 1993 in Berlin ) is a German athlete who specializes in the 400-meter run and also runs relays . She previously competed in 100 and 200 meter runs .

career path

Köhrbrück is a student ( civil engineering ) at the Beuth University of Technology Berlin .

Athletic career

Until 2015, Köhrbrück competed on the 100- and 200-meter distances until she concentrated on the stadium lap, which she had been tending towards since she started competitive sports.

In 2012, Köhrbrück became German U20 indoor champion with the 4 x 200 meter relay and came third in the German U20 championships with the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 2013 she took 6th place in the adult class at the German Indoor Championships over the four times 200 meters. In each case, Köhrbrück made it to 3rd place in the German U23 championships with the 4 x 100 meter relay and in the German championships over 4 x 400 meters.

In 2015, Köhrbrück achieved fourth place three times: over 200 meters at the German indoor championships and over 4 times 400 meters each at the German U23 championships and the German championships .

In 2016 she made it to the podium at the German championships with the 4 x 400 meter relay by taking bronze.

In 2017, Köhrbrück was twice German runner-up, with the 4 x 200 meter relay at the German indoor championships and outdoors with a new personal best of 52.76 s over 400 meters at the German championships , where she also won 4 times -400 meter relay took 3rd place. At the end of July she was nominated by the German Athletics Association (DLV) for the World Championships in London , where she came in 6th place with the 4 x 400 meter relay.
