Tago Island is a Philippine island in the Iloilo Province . It is located about 200 meters off the east coast of Panay Island , to the northeast is Pan de Azucar at 100 meters , 2 km to the east is Botlog Island and 3 km to the southeast is Igbon Island . Tago Island lies in front of Concepcion Bay and is administered by the conurbation of Concepcion . It is uninhabited and is privately owned.
The topography of the 5.87 km² island is characterized by a hilly terrain that rises to 170 meters above sea level in the south. The coastline of the approximately 4.5 km long and 1.8 km wide island is lined with sandy beaches. To the east and north of the island are extensive coral reefs and the western stretches of water are very shallow. Most of the vegetation on the island consists of coconut , nipa , mango and pilin trees .
There are no ferry connections to the island, outrigger boats have to be rented in the fishing port of Concepcion. The crossing takes about 10 minutes.
