Igbon Island is an island in the Philippines in the Iloilo Province . It is located about 4 km off the east coast of Panay Island , at the northern entrance of the Guimaras Strait in the western Visayas Sea . To the northwest are Pan de Azucar Island 4.2 km away , Botlog Island 2 km and Tago Island 3 km . To the north are Agho Island ( 1.1 km) and Malangabang Island ( 2.5 km) .

On the island is the Barangay Igbon of the same name , which is part of the administrative structure of the greater congregation of Concepcion . This had exactly 2380 inhabitants in 2010 and is described as village . There are no regular ferry connections to the island, outrigger boats have to be rented in the fishing port of Concepcion. The crossing takes about 30 minutes.

The topography of the island is characterized by a hilly terrain that rises to 236 meters above sea level in the south. The coastline of the approximately 4.2 km long and 3.1 km wide island is lined with sandy beaches. To the north and south-west of the island lie extensive coral reefs , the edges of the reef edges dropping into the depths in steep, sometimes vertical walls. The vegetation of the island consists of a tropical vegetation, which consists mostly of coconut palms , mango trees and bushes.
