The outgoing Schupo is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The paper produced by the MDR was on February 5, 2017 First and SRF 1 broadcast. In this 1010th Tatort episode, the Weimar Commissioners Lessing and Dorn investigate their fourth case.

action

The policeman Ludwig Maria Pohl, known as Lupo, drives a bouquet of roses to the museum of the traditional porcelain manufacturer Scholder to surprise his long-time friend Andrea, who works there as a museum guide. However, he does not confess his love to her, but separates from her. This furiously mows down Lupo's rose garden with an electric hedge trimmer. She unintentionally detonates a bomb hidden between the roses and dies. Shortly afterwards, fatal ricin poisoning was found in Lupo - according to the Jena Pharmacological Institute, he will die in two days. The high concentration of the poison suggests that it is a second, this time successful attempt to murder Lupo.

In the course of the investigation, Dorn and Lessing examine Lupo's apartment and find his will. Lupo has appointed an elderly woman named Olga Kruschwitz as his sole heir. They also come across notarized documents that show that he had purchased a castle worth six million euros the day before.

The two investigators go to see Olga Kruschwitz. She lives in the caretaker's apartment in the castle, which Lupo bought and which also houses the porcelain museum. In conversation with Olga, they learn that Lupo's mother worked as a secretary in the porcelain factory and that Lupo went to the company's own kindergarten. Olga was his kindergarten teacher there. That's why she always knew that Lupo was in truth the son of the recently deceased owner of the porcelain factory. But he never confessed to his son. After the death of the china factory owner , Olga had a paternity test carried out in order to help Lupo get his rightful share of the inheritance. They also meet Olga's somewhat simple-minded son Ringo, who is caught by Lessing breaking into his mother's apartment. Since the mother does not want to file a complaint, they let him go again.

In the further course, more and more people come under suspicion of murder. Olga would be considered based on Lupo's will. Desiree and Amelie Scholder, daughters of the deceased porcelain manufacturer and thus Lupo's half-sisters and also heirs, had a motive for murder because they bitterly arguing about their father's legacy. Amelie also suspects that Desiree killed their father by manipulating his car shortly before his fatal accident.

Lupo, on the other hand, is convinced that Ringo is his killer. He was arrested by Lupo a few years ago after a gas station robbery and was only released from prison three weeks ago. When Ringo appears in the hospital and tries to suffocate Lupo with a pillow, he is pushed back by Lupo with a gun. Olga had smuggled the gun into the hospital and passed it on to Lupo. Ringo can escape. Lupo then takes Kurt Stich, the police officer’s superior, hostage and demands that Ringo be handed over to him. Dorn and Lessing are convinced that Ringo planted the bomb in Lupo's garden, but do not believe that he is also the one who poisoned Lupo.

The family relationships of the Scholders are also becoming increasingly confusing: Amelie is Ringo's secret lover and suspects that the genetic material used for the paternity test does not come from Lupo, but from Ringo. Then Ringo would not only be an heir, but also her half-brother. However, Amelie's assumption remains unproven, as Desiree kills Ringo with a porcelain teapot. Desiree, in turn, has made herself sexually subservient to Lothar Brack, who is both the syndic of the Scholdersche Porzellanfabrik and Ringo's lawyer and who, as a notary, certified Lupo's documents for the acquisition of the castle. He is caught red-handed by Dorn and Lessing when he tries to shred Ringo's corpse in a garden shredder. Later it becomes clear that Lothar is actually a half-brother of the Scholder sisters, since Lessing recognizes the same symptoms of a hereditary syndrome in him that the accident-affected father Scholder showed on the last mailbox message to Amelie shortly before his death.

Lupo is now of the firm opinion that Desiree, not Ringo, is responsible for his poisoning. Lupo had visited them the day before to talk to him about company matters, since he was now co-owner of the company. She brought him cocoa, which Lupo usually drinks in large quantities. Traces of ricin were later found in the remains of the cocoa from his apartment. In order to hold her accountable, he makes an appointment with her on the premises of the porcelain factory. There, however, Desiree is approached by Amelie in a van, brought to the factory and strapped onto the conveyor belt of a kiln. Dorn and Lessing were able to free them at the last minute, although Lessing himself was almost thrown into the heated oven because a sleeve of his jacket got caught. Kira Dorn can switch off the conveyor belt in time.

Eventually it turns out that Olga initiated the paternity test. She wanted to take revenge on Scholder's heirs for the planned sale of the castle, which would have cost her her apartment. She is also unintentionally responsible for Lupo's poisoning. She had actually wanted to kill her son Ringo with the ricin. She was convinced that Ringo was the bomber and wanted to prevent Lupo from murdering. Shortly before Ringo's appearance, however, she received a visit from Lupo. He ate the cake that was actually intended for her son without knowing anything about the poison in it. Olga could only watch this in horror when it was already too late. In order to prevent Lupo from believing that she wanted to kill him, she kept the poison in the cake secret and tried to divert suspicion from herself by laying false leads.

Lupo survived the poisoning because his immune system is unexpectedly able to produce antibodies .

Reviews

Christian Buß rated the film with eight stars out of ten at Spiegel online and praised it for its humor. The director “elegantly set the wheels of the grotesque in motion. The scent of flowers, baroque verbal power and a grumpy fecal storage device called Exkremer 700 in the trunk: the lyrical and the creatural go well together here. "

“Tatort purists who like to hunt down a perpetrator who is also serious about his crimes will probably have a hard time with this lively dance [...]. [...] At some point you lose sight of the many twists and turns of this story. "

- Katharina Riehl : Süddeutsche Zeitung

The film service said about the film that "its outrageous plot comes from a dusty 'crime box' of earlier decades" and that it contains some "great comedic moments, lustfully over-the-top bizarre and brilliant laconic dialogues".
