Taugenroth is a district of the town of Ornbau in the district of Ansbach .

geography

The hamlet lies between the Wieseth in the south and the Altmühl in the north. The Wieseth flows into the Altmühl as a right tributary about a kilometer further northeast. In the west lies the Rügholz. A community connecting road leads to Obermühl (0.5 km southeast).

history

In 1377 the place name was "diving rod", in 1879 "diving red". The monastery Heilsbronn bought there in 1377 by Konrad Rys of Laubenzedel a meadow. In 1574 it was bought by Wolfgang Kaufman. Heinrich Diener gave the monastery a slope a. a. also in Taugenroth.

With the community edict (early 19th century) Taugenroth was assigned to the Ornbau tax district and the Obermühl rural community . The municipality of Obermühl was incorporated into the rural municipality of Gern by 1837 at the latest . On January 1, 1972, this was incorporated into Ornbau as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
