Terry Kubicka
Terry Paul Kubicka (born April 3, 1956 in Long Beach , California ) is a retired American figure skater who started in a single run .
Kubicka was runner-up in 1974 and 1975 and champion in 1976 at the US championships . From 1974 to 1976 he took part in world championships . He achieved his best result in his last world championship with sixth place. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck , he finished seventh. He became the first and only figure skater to show a backflip in the freestyle program when it was still allowed, shortly afterwards it was banned.
Kubicka is a technical specialist at ISU .
