Scott Davis (figure skater)

Scott Davis (born January 29, 1972 in Great Falls , Montana ) is a retired American figure skater who started in a single run .

Davis was American champion in 1993 and 1994 . He participated in world championships from 1993 to 1995 . At his first World Cup he achieved his best result in 1993 with sixth place, and seventh in 1994 and 1995 . At his only Olympic Games, 1994 in Lillehammer , he finished eighth.

In the years that followed, Davis suffered from vertigo and had problems with the consistency of his jumps. He continued his career until 1998, but has not qualified for a World Cup since 1995. After moving to the pros, he appeared in an ice show version of the musical Grease .

Davis trained with Kathy Casey in Colorado Springs and with Halyna Smijewska in Simsbury . Later he worked as a trainer himself, one of his students was Vaughn Chipeur . Davis is a technical specialist at ISU .
