action
Macon Leary is an author of travel literature. When his son dies in a shootout, his marriage to Sarah falls into a crisis. Macon meets the fun-loving Muriel Pritchett, who appears to him to be the opposite of his wife.
Macon and Sarah have a conversation in which Sarah mentions that she was already thinking about having another child. They argue about it. After they have calmed down, Macon tells his wife that she has overcome the death of her child and no longer needs him. However, he needs Muriel, who has helped him find out who he is himself.
