The Big Frustration is an American drama directed by Lawrence Kasdan from 1983. Tom Berenger , Glenn Close , Jeff Goldblum , William Hurt and Kevin Kline play in the drama .

action

A group of friends studied together at the University of Michigan in the early 1960s . The film begins with them meeting for the funeral of one of their friends, Alex, who committed suicide. Seven of them and Alex's friend spend a weekend together in the house that now belongs to a married couple from their group.

They all talk about their life after graduation and what became of them. Meg Jones, a successful lawyer and single, is looking for one of the men present who can fulfill her desire to have children.

  • Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times of September 30, 1983 that the large number of films about the 1960s (made in the early 1980s) was due to the fact that these filmmakers themselves had studied in the 1960s. The film was - technically speaking - well done, but in the end nothing was settled.
