The Man from Utopia (dt. The Man from Utopia ) is a pop-rock album of Frank Zappa , the 1983 on vinyl appeared. The album was produced in Zappa's own studio, Utility Muffin Research Kitchen , and some tracks were very painstakingly reworked. In The Dangerous Kitchen, for example, Zappa hada monologue-like spoken chant (referred to as "Meltdown" by Zappa)transcribedby Steve Vai and played overdub as a guitaraccompaniment. In terms of content, the pieces deal with serious topics such as drug use by decision-makers ( Cocaine Decisions ), solidarity against unions ( Stick Together ), but there are also humorous nonsense texts, for example in The Dangerous Kitchen , in which the dangers of spoiled food are listed. The album cover wasillustratedby the Italian comic artist Tanino Liberatore , who became known for his comic figure Ranxerox .
