The Quest - The Series (Original title: The Librarians ) is an American adventure - television series based on since December 2014 TNT will air and on the eponymous film series is based. The first season aired in the United States between December 7, 2014 and January 18, 2015 on TNT. In Germany, it has been shown in double episodes on RTL II since May 1, 2015 and the second season since April 8, 2016 .
In December 2015, the series was extended for a ten-part third season. On January 24, 2017, a fourth season extension was announced. In March 2018, the series was discontinued after four seasons.

The anti-terrorist agent Eve Baird, the universally educated Jacob "Jake" Stone, the synaesthetist Cassandra Cillian and technology master and thief Ezekiel Jones are supposed to guard the treasures of human history under the leadership of the librarian Flynn Carsen. They receive support from Jenkins, who equips them with all kinds of knowledge and useful things. During their adventures they have to decipher secrets, secure magical artifacts and investigate conspiracies.
