Threna is a part of the Saxon community Belgershain in the district of Leipzig .

Threna is located about 12 kilometers southeast of the Saxon city of Leipzig in the Leipzig lowland bay . The forest area Oberholz is southwest of the village . The Threne rises in Threna and leaves the place to the east.
State road 38 Probstheida - Grimma runs through the village . There is a connection to Belgershain and Fuchshain via county roads, and the Leipzig – Geithain railway line runs here .

history
Local and church history
The first documentary mention dates from 1205 as the manor of Wilferus de Drenowe . In 1421 Threna was under margrave court. In 1556 Dippold von Schönfeld received the village. A teacher (sexton) for Threna with Belgershain is documented for the first time in 1572. In 1824 August Schumann mentions Threna in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony concerning a. a .:
"[...] belongs in writing to the ¾ St. of it in the southeast of Uechteritzischen Rittergute Belgershayn. […] Threna has over 50 houses and 300 residents, a very important inn, a school, a windmill, and a branch or rather sister church of Belgershayn, to which the university forester's house is parish. […] In 1782 there were 191 people over 10 years old and 169 cows; 1789 of the 44 horses. The place has 18 hooves, [...]. "
Furthermore, it says in the work "New Saxon Church Gallery" from 1911 regarding the place and the church and a .:
“Threna was originally the mother parish and has been a branch parish of Belgershain since 1620. The parish of Threna was sold and an estate in Belgershain was acquired as a parish for the proceeds, [...]. The church dates back to ancient times, according to Gurlitt , the apse and choir were probably built in 1250, the nave and the tower hall vaulted in an ogival barrel are said to have been built after him in the second half of the 13th century. […] The organ was built in 1778 by master organ builder Mauer in Leipzig for 304 thalers; a thorough renovation took place in 1857 by Wiegand-Borna; In 1881 the landowner, Justice of the Peace Heyne, had a new Viola di Gamba register installed by Kreuzbach-Borna at his own expense. […] The school in Threna was in the old days, since Belgershain did not yet have one, attended by the Belgershain children, only later Belgershain employed a child teacher […]. As a result of the land reform after the end of World War II, only one farmer was expropriated, as a result there were 21 new farmers and 11 small settlers in the village. On September 13, 1955 the LPG "Vorwärts" was founded, on January 1, 1973 the KAP Threna was founded and on January 1, 1978 the LPG plant production Threna was founded.
On April 1, 1995 Threna was incorporated into Belgershain.
