Tim Gredley (born January 12, 1986 ) is a British show jumper . Tim Gradley grew up as the son of entrepreneur Bill Gredley in a horse-loving family. He started riding at the age of six. Originally Gredley wanted to be a jockey , but due to his size he dedicated himself to show jumping . At the Junior European Championships in Vilamoura in 2004, he won the gold medal with the team and the silver medal in the individual. After this success he was nominated for a Nations Cup for riders / seniors for the first time .

A year later he finished fourth with the team and fifth in the individual at the European Young Rider Championships in Schaffhausen . After two more Nations Cup appearances, he was nominated for the team in the Samsung Super League final in 2005.

In 2006, Gredley took part in other Nations Cups as well as in the Grand Prix of Aachen . This was followed by the nomination for participation in the 2006 World Equestrian Games . After the World Equestrian Games, his best horses, Omelli and Fabriana , got injured and were out for a year due to injuries. During this time he concentrated on training young horses.

In 2008, in addition to participating in several Nations' Cups, he mainly focused on tournaments of the Global Champions Tour (GCT). At the finals of this tournament series he reached 5th place with Omelli and thus prize money of € 57,000. At the end of the season he also won the last special stage of the Riders Tour , the Munich Grand Prix .

In 2009 he already played significantly fewer international tournaments than in previous years, in Hickstead he played his last Nations Cup. In August 2010 he ended his equestrian career to work in his father's company, his horses have been ridden by Robert Whitaker ever since .

At the beginning of 2012 he decided to take part in horse shows again. To do this, he got his horses back into his stable, and he also acquired Chamberlain Z , who was previously ridden by David McPherson .

Gredley has been engaged to Irish sports presenter and show jumper Rachel Wyse since February 2018 .
