Timothy Costelloe
Timothy Costelloe SDB (born February 3, 1954 in East Melbourne ) is an Australian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Perth .
Life
Timothy Costelloe first went to Melbourne's St. Peter's in East Bentleigh and the Salesian College in Chadstone . He first worked as a teacher at Christ College in Melbourne before joining the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1977 . In 1978 he graduated from Christ College. After he completed his philosophical and theological studies and the eternal in the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco on September 8, 1985 profession had taken off, he was on 25 October in 1986 by Archbishop Thomas Francis Little for ordained priests .

From 2006 he also worked as pastor of St. John the Baptist in the district of Clifton Hill , from 2007 also of St. Joseph in the district of Collingwood . During this time Costelloe also held several higher offices in the religious community.
On April 30, 2007 he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Melbourne and titular bishop of Cluain Iraird . On February 20, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Archbishop of Perth. The installation took place on March 21, 2012. He succeeds Archbishop Barry James Hickey . On June 15, 2012, he consecrated the former Anglican Assistant Bishop in the Archdiocese of Australia, Harry Entwistle , who had converted to the Roman Catholic Church, as a Roman Catholic priest and appointed him Ordinarius of Pope Benedict XVI. The Ordinary of Our Lady of the Southern Cross was founded on the same day .
On June 29, 2012, he and 46 other archbishops received from Pope Benedict XVI. presented the pallium in Rome . On the occasion of this stay in Rome, on July 4, 2012, he also visited the University of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
